FessorLøbet for Android

FessorLøbet is an educational game app for children that was developed for children in the 0th to 10th grade. The app is based on Fessor, a Danish mathematics teacher who has developed a method of learning mathematics for children.

FessorLøbet is a combination of movement and play with mathematics problems for all students in the 0th - 10th grade. The app combines play and learning and is based on the idea that a child’s attention span and ability to focus on one thing is limited. When a child is engaged, the chances of them remembering and understanding what they have learned are increased. With FessorLøbet, the idea is that the children will be motivated to learn more and more complex math concepts, which will in turn increase their ability to solve math problems.

The FessorLøbet app is based on 15 items that are used in the classroom. These items are numbered from 1 to 15 and each has its own unique QR code. The items are fixed around the school area (outside and inside).

Each item in the FessorLøbet app is divided into three parts: a top, a middle, and a bottom. When a child chooses an item, they are guided through the three parts by the app. The top part of the item is a figure that the child can move around the school area.
